This yoga immersion is designed for all yoga practitioners who are interested in deepening and developing their personal relationship with yoga. We will explore all facets of this incredible practice. Asana will be a main focus, exploring the foundations and details of basic to advanced poses. In-depth inquiry and gained knowledge of bio mechanical alignment principles will strengthen your body and allow you to find better access to all postures, enhancing your overall experience of each pose. You will also increase your scope of knowledge in the areas of pranayama (yogic breathing), meditation and yoga philosophy. Our goal is to provide you with the tools that will take your yoga practice to new levels and that will allow you to become more integrated in mind, body and spirit.

This immersion is a great opportunity for experienced teachers as well. You will refine your skills and knowledge of bio mechanical body actions, and study skeletal variations which either enhance or inhibit physical movement, allowing you to offer more optimal options for your students’ maximum experience.

Ahna first stepped onto her yoga mat 25 years ago in central Pennsylvania and has been immersed in the practice ever since. She has been teaching since 2001 and is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 hour professional level. Ahna studied extensively for ten years at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts, and 8 years in the style of Anusara Yoga. Most recently, she has been practicing the comprehensive path of functional yoga, teaching with an inspiringly new and fresh perspective that acknowledges that every body’s yoga is different. She has also studied with multiple leading world-renowned teachers receiving over 1300 hours of training in different styles of Hatha Yoga, and over 160 hours of training in meditation and pranayama. Ahna’s primary philosophical foundation is Tantra. This life-affirming lineage has had a powerful impact on Ahna’s life and teaching, influencing her personal practice to expand from a ground of grace and love.

Ahna’s passion and enthusiasm for yoga offers students an opportunity to explore the many joys and benefits of yoga in a safe and friendly space. With a down to earth demeanor, her classes are light hearted and playful, creating a fun and focused arena for growth, both physically and spiritually. Ahna skillfully infuses the elegance of biomechanical alignment principles with flowing vinyasa. She incorporates themes and philosophical teachings into dynamic sequencing to enhance the students experience on and off the mat.
In addition, she is devoted to daily practices of pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation and recognizes that the breath is the link that brings the mind, body, and spirit together. She has a deep passion for anatomy & physiology, meditation and pranayama and is the director and primary teacher of kOMpose Yoga Studio’s accredited 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, and 100-Hour In-Depth Studies Course. Additionally, Ahna is partners with Michelle Finch of Exalt Yoga. They co-lead a 300-Hour Advanced Yin/Yang Yoga Teacher Training, which focuses on the functionality of yoga.
