The season of fresh beginnings has arrived. Like a tender seedling pushing up from the depths of the soil, instinctively reaching for the sun, we, too, are urged to grow from darkness toward light.
As the days lengthen, we are drawn to spend more time out-of-doors. Our connection to Nature is so vital for our well-being, yet all too often it comes at the cost of time we spend on our mat. In all seasons the four corners of our mat frame our sacred space for self-discovery and clarity. It is here where stillness is found so that we may discover our own beautiful nature.
By finding a balance between communing with the natural world around us, what the yogis call “prakriti,” and exploring our innermost nature, our true Self – “purusa” – we can achieve harmony on our yogic path toward self-realization.
