Lisa began her yoga practice nearly 20 years ago, looking for a balance to her favorite aerobic exercises of jogging and cycling, and immediately found a connection with the meditative and physical aspects of yoga.
“I have practiced thousands of hours of yoga over the years, in studio and in my home to DVDs. Every practice is a discovery in strength, flexibility, balance, and humility. Yoga and the yoga community are so important to my physical and mental life that I cannot imagine life without it.”
It was after a battle with cancer and year-long aggressive chemo and radiation therapy in 2016, during which Lisa continued her regular yoga practice, that she made a promise to herself that if, following therapy, she was cancer free, she would further her practice by becoming a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
Lisa enjoys practicing and teaching all forms of yoga: Meditative-restorative, yin, slow flow, high-intensity vinyasa, and yoga with hand weights.
