When you first meet Kari, you would never guess that she has encountered such severe medical issues that at one point in her young life, she was confined to walking with a cane. Yoga, Kari says, changed her life. Not only did her committed yoga practice make it possible to bend and stretch again, the rediscovery of her body’s natural flexibility brought new confidence to her life.
Kari’s story of pain and comeback inspired her to become a yoga teacher. She is driven by a desire to reach others who are feeling trapped in their own bodies and to help give them their lives back. Her classes help students take a “mental vacation,” as she calls it, by incorporating an appealing blend of relaxation, light-heartedness and education.
