Ashtanga Yoga is a specific sequence of asanas (postures) that flow with the steady rhythm of breath and vinyasa to create a vigorous, cardiovascular purifying practice which can be exhilarating and challenging while also serving as a moving meditation. Breath, bandhas, focus and flow are key elements of each series of Ashtanga, helping to cleanse, stretch, balance, flex and strengthen the mind-body-soul connection for a greater sense of inner peace and well being. (All levels welcomed).

Hatha Yoga  a series of gentle poses that help release physical and mental tension and increase balance and flexibility.

Hot Yoga – An invigorating workout of yoga asanas and breathwork, Hot Yoga is focused on the process of creating the highest level of energy, vitality and mental awareness through Sun Salutations, forward bends, backward bends, arm balances and standing asanas. The yoga room is heated to assist in this journey.  Bring a towel.

Kripalu Yoga is the yoga of consciousness and compassion.  Learn to connect the mind, body and spirit through awareness in the postures, breathwork and meditation.  We are encouraged to honor our individual needs by listening to our body's wisdom, enabling us to open to the energy of life. The practice is done slowly and consciously, occasionally holding postures for a length of time and fluidly moving through their release.  Kripalu yoga is a gentle, flowing style of Hatha Yoga, focusing on breath awareness, inner focus, and utilizing the "press point" method to find alignment.  Gentle, moderate and dynamic practices are taught so that practitioners can practice at an energy level suited to them.

Kundalini Yoga is an intensive form of yoga, awakening the body, mind, and spirit. It focuses on the chakra system, stimulating the energy in the lower centers and moving it to the higher centers. From your very first class, you'll experience the benefits, which include relief from back pain, stress, addiction, depression, insomnia and weight control. Everyone can do it! Stay after for community time for yogi tea!

Power Yoga – This all-levels class bases its practice on performing Vinyasas – a series of yoga poses which flow together.   It is a challenging blend of flexibility, strength and endurance.

Vinyasa moves through a sequence of yoga postures that will be focused on building strength and flexibility along with relaxation techniques.

Yoga for Young Adults is a chance for like-minded teens and young adults up to age 22 to meet and share in a barefooted adventure.  This class will develop and challenge participants at all skill levels, from the beginner to the advanced student athlete, with a focus on strengthening body and mind.

"Yoga is a way of moving into stillness in order to experience the truth of who you are. The practice of yoga is the practice of meditation - or inner listening - in the poses and meditations, as well as all day long. It's a matter of listening inward for guidance at all time, and then daring enough and trusting enough to do what you are prompted to do... - Erich Schiffmann
